Hydrogen

This One Day Conference looks at the important role played by Hydrogen Strategies and Action Plans in the North Sea Region.

The European Union and all national governments, apart from Sweden, in the Region have published strategies which have been followed by the publication of regional action plans and the development of key projects to deliver these strategies.  The Conference looks at the aims and objectives behind the documents, the way that they are monitored and developed and the need for international co-operation to develop a hydrogen economy in the North Sea Region.  It will also look at the initiatives and projects that have been developed from the strategies and their contribution to the development of a hydrogen economy in the North Sea Region.

The Conference will begin by a comparison of the EU Strategy and national hydrogen strategies in the North Sea region.  It will then look at documents in the UK looking particularly at the UK National Strategy and the Scottish Action Plan plus the initiatives that have resulted from these publications.

We will also look at the strategies from other parts of the North Sea such as Germany, Netherlands and the EU.  The afternoon session will look at hydrogen maritime strategies and the progress of the UK Clean Maritime Plan by presenting some of the hydrogen projects that have been funded under the Plan.

Last, but certainly not least, we look at international co-operation and the need to co-operate across the North Sea in terms of research, innovation and the development of a North Sea hydrogen value chain.

Please note that members of a Maritime UK Association can book with a reduced rate of £75 + VAT.
