Collette McMullen
Babcock Skills Director, Babcock International Group
Collette is Group Skills Director, Babcock International Group, appointed to this role in January 2024 and has recently been appointed to the Maritime Skills Commission (MSC). The MSC was established by Maritime UK and the Department for Transport to lead the sector’s work in ensuring the maritime sector has a pipeline of talent to serve all parts of the significantly geographical spread sector.
Prior to this Collette was appointed to UK Government’s Nuclear Skills Task Force (NSTF) led by Sir Simon Bollom. She sits on the Nuclear Skills Delivery Board, responsible for delivering the National Nuclear Strategic ‘Plan for Skills’. She takes a leading role on a number of workstreams, providing leadership and governance to ensure the delivery of the funded ‘Plan for Skills’.
At Babcock Collette held a number of senior and executive roles including, Commercial Director, Communications and HR Director, across the Babcock sectors (Nuclear – civil/defence; Aviation; and Land), starting her career in the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority.
Most recently Collette was Chief of Staff to Babcock International Group CEO, David Lockwood, holding this role, and member of the Babcock Executive Committee, for over two years before her full-time appointment the NSTF in September 2023.
Collette has a Degree in Business Studies from John Moores Liverpool University.
