Statement from Maritime UK Chair, Sarah Kenny OBE, on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

“On behalf of the maritime industries of the United Kingdom, I wish to express my sincere condolences and deep regret at the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Throughout her lifetime of service to our country and the Commonwealth, she has been an inspiration to us all.

“As Master of the Merchant Navy and Fishing Fleets, Queen Elizabeth was a true friend, and we thank her for a lifelong commitment to the maritime industries and the welfare of its people.

“Our thoughts are with the Royal Family at this most difficult of times.”
