Maritime UK Celebrates National Careers Week, Showcasing Exciting Opportunities in the Sector

Maritime UK is proud to celebrate National Careers Week 2025, shining a spotlight on the diverse and rewarding career opportunities available across the maritime sector. During this week, the maritime sector will showcase the vast opportunities, ensuring young people, educators, and career advisers across the UK gain valuable insights into the industry.

Throughout the week, Maritime UK will collaborate with National Careers Week to promote maritime careers to schools and colleges, offering a range of events, resources, and activities designed to engage and inspire the next generation. Educators will have access to tailored materials to help students explore the opportunities within the sector, from cutting-edge maritime technology and engineering to roles in ports, shipping, and leisure marine industries.

A key element of the week will be the participation of volunteers from Maritime UK’s Ambassador Programme, delivered in partnership with Inspiring the Future. These ambassadors - professionals from across the industry, will take part in career talks and events, providing young people with first-hand insights into what it’s like to work in maritime and how they can begin their journey in the sector.
