Maritime UK Annual Review 2018
Maritime UK announces a major new initiative in production of the Maritime UK Annual Review.
Designed to act as a focal
point and provide a comprehensive overview of developments within the UK
maritime sector, the Annual Review will communicate activity by industry to
promote, strengthen and grow the sector.
In recent years government
and industry have been working in partnership to grow the UK’s maritime sector,
work which has taken on increased importance following the UK’s decision to
leave the European Union.
Maritime UK brings together
the UK’s shipping, ports, marine and business services industries to promote
the sector, influence government and drive growth. Members include the
Baltic Exchange, British Marine, the British Ports Association, CLIA UK &
Ireland, the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, London International Shipping
Week, Maritime London, Mersey Maritime, Nautilus International, Solent LEP,
Seafarers UK, the Society of Maritime Industries, Trinity House, UK Chamber of
Shipping and the UK Major Ports Group.
The Annual Review will tell
the story of industry progress since the Maritime Growth study, along with
features on the key developments and initiatives from across the breadth of the
maritime sector.
The annual publication will
be distributed to members, key civil servants, ministers, all MPs and priority
overseas trade and diplomatic postings.
Ben Murray, Maritime UK Manager said:
"Together, the sector is making progress in raising its profile, speaking more clearly and compellingly to government, and fostering collaboration in key areas such as innovation - all to drive growth.
"This annual publication will help tell that story, showcase the various sector programmes, and highlight key developments across our four industries."
Maritime UK has commissioned the respected port and maritime publisher Compass Handbooks to publish the Annual Review. Compass will be contacting companies to provide more details and to explain how organisations can be involved through advertising.
