Building Back Better

In March 2021 the UK government launched its recovery plan: 'Build Back Better: our plan for growth'. It set an ambition to build back better through a transformational approach, tackling long-term problems to deliver growth that can create high-quality jobs across the UK and makes the most of the strengths of the Union. It set its guiding focus as "achieving the people’s priorities", which it identified as: levelling up the whole of the UK, supporting our transition to net zero, and supporting the vision for Global Britain. The strategy focuses on:
