News: Nautilus International sponsors 'Maritime Professional of the Year' Award
Maritime UK has announced Nautilus International will sponsor the Maritime Professional of the Year category for the second Maritime UK Awards. The awards recognises the very best of the UK’s maritime sector.
Nautilus International is a trade union and professional organisation serving, supporting and protecting the interests of more than 20,000 maritime professionals in the UK, Netherlands and Switzerland.
The Maritime UK Awards, launched in 2019 as the first truly national maritime awards in the UK, organised by industry, for the benefit of industry. The second annual event will take place in Plymouth on 12 November 2020, in partnership with Plymouth City Council.
Mark Dickinson, General Secretary from Nautilus International said: “We are fortunate in maritime that the trade union for maritime professionals is seen as an integral part of the sector and this reflects the importance of people in the industry. These awards are an opportunity to highlight the best maritime professionals the sector has.

The awards, which are open to companies from across the breadth of the maritime sector including its shipping, ports, services, engineering, and leisure marine industries, opened on 8th June and applications are already piling in.
