Meet the judges: Sarah Wallbank, August Race Worldwide

The Maritime UK Awards will be judged by a panel of internationally recognised maritime leaders, who will be profiled over the coming weeks.

About Sarah

I am co-founder and export director of the UK's leading marine maintenance brand August Race. In 5 years we've grown from zero to a multi-national business with prominent distributors in countries around the world. In 2020 so far I have gained distribution in the UAE and South America with a pre-eminent retail brand.  In addition to our global activity our products are stocked in over 260 UK locations and our British manufactured range is endorsed by world-leading boat builders. I was awarded a special mention in the 'Women in the Marine Industry Award' at the 2018 British Marine Awards.

On the Maritime UK Awards, Sarah says: 

“The Maritime sector has faced a period of unprecedented disruption with both COVID-19 and the Brexit negotiations so it is essential to effect a unified progression into 2021 and beyond and to celebrate the hard work and successes which make the UK maritime sector great and recognised as such around the world. 

“Having built our business from the ground up as a co-founder of August Race I know how important awards like this can be for both fledgling and established companies alike. We have had fantastic support from other companies within the marine industry over the years and I wanted to contribute in return.
