Scarlett Black is the Director of Operations at Maritime UK. Scarlett joined Maritime UK in March 2023, the umbrella body for the UK maritime sector, which brings together the shipping, ports, professional services, engineering and leisure marine industries. Scarlett oversees Maritime UK’s programmes and has continued to raise the profile of the maritime sector with the public, young people, government, and key decision makers.
Prior to joining Maritime UK, Scarlett worked as a Parliamentary Assistant in the House of Commons. She remains committed to creating a talented and diverse maritime workforce and has created the Maritime Future Leaders Programme to support the next generation of leaders in the maritime sector.
