As part of Maritime UK Week 2020, Mersey Maritime will be hosting their second annual conference: The Maritime Exchange 2020.

The conference will focus on some of the core themes, opportunities and challenges the industry has faced over the last 6 months with regards to the global coronavirus pandemic, with one of the panels focussing on Mental Health and Wellbeing, and the second focussing on the current and future opportunities around Technology and Innovation (decarbonisation) within the sector. Mersey Maritime are pleased to announce that the whole event if sponsored by Royal HaskoningDHV, The Royal Navy, Nautilus International and Wirral Waters.

The conference will also include an update on the Maritime Knowledge Hub Project, a £23m maritime centre of excellence located in Wirral Waters designed to create 4,000 jobs in its first 5 years. The Maritime Knowledge Hub will provide a national base for marine engineering research and development as well as skills training and business accelerator space.

In line with the latest government guidelines the conference will be run as a hybrid event, produced in a purpose build studio in Cheshire and broadcast virtually as a free to attend industry conference. The conference will include a programme of quality content featuring live panellists, Q&A sessions, short films and talking head films from across the industry.
