Women in Maritime: Liverpool City Region Launch

Mersey Maritime is pleased to be hosting the Liverpool City Region Launch of the Women in Maritime Charter.

This event will provide businesses with the opportunity to find out more about the Charter, which aims to encourage more women to build careers in the maritime industry while also striving to better engage with women already working within it. It will outline ambitious and achievable goals that companies can sign up to and provide tool-kits to help companies meet their commitments within the charter. 

As part of Maritime UK Week (10-16th September) this event will also be a lively celebration of the Liverpool City Region’s maritime sector, one of the largest Marine & Maritime sectors areas in the UK, generating £3.5 billion in sales. 

Businesses attending will be encouraged to celebrate our region’s vibrant and thriving maritime sector and sign the ‘wall’ to become charter supporters. 

Across Maritime UK Week, the Women in Maritime Charter is being launched at events throughout the country.
