#DiversityInMaritime: Unconscious Bias Webinar Series - May 2020
Join us for our #DiversityInMaritime Professional Development Webinar Series.
In this webinar we will be discussing Unconscious Bias, hosted by Cecilia Harvey, EDI Lead (UK) at Royal HaskoningDHV.
We are a library of experiences… and because our brain cannot process all the information it is exposed to, it opts for the short cut. These mental shortcuts rely on stereotypes we have learned throughout our lives, and very often without even realising it. Interestingly, Harvard research into out Implicit biases, found that very often our unconscious biases are not aligned with our conscious ones!
If you are fascinated to lean about how the brain works and what traps it sets us around key bias areas such as gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, disability and age, sign up to the webinar on “understanding unconscious bias”.
Don’t just look, see.
